Originally from the Minneapolis area, I received my Bachelor’s degree in social work at St. Olaf College. After graduation, I participated in Teach for America and taught for six years in three states. While teaching, I recognized my true passion remained in therapy. I received a Master’s degree in social work at the University of South Dakota. Following graduation, I worked at a community mental health center for two years and most recently in private practice for three years. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker in Private or Independent Practice (CSW-PIP), Addiction Counselor Trainee (ACT), and Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).
I have been a therapist for the past five years, and founded J. Brockhoff Therapy Services in 2024. I live in Sioux Falls with my husband and our two sons.
