J. Brockhoff Therapy
Currently Accepting New Clients
Many clients come to therapy with a fear that they will be judged and misunderstood. I believe in the social work value of upholding the dignity and worth of my clients. I have learned to balance the dialectics of validation and change; it is essential that a client feels both understood and challenged. I believe that all people are doing the best that they can and they can do better. My vocation in life is to help people to find their own life worth living.
HOw I practice
I have experience working with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of concerns. including: emotion regulation, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and couples problems.
